Apostrophes are used to replace missing letters in contracted forms. For example:
isn’t (= is not)
To suggest that we have removed the letter ‘o’, we used an apostrophe here
can’t (= cannot)

You’re (= you are)

But we should not use apostrophes with possessive pronouns and possessive adjectives.
