Rule: Add -ing to the base form of the verb. But there are special spelling rules depending on how the verb ends. Study the four patterns below carefully.

Rule: Choose the correct auxiliary verb based on the subject: I → am, He/She/It (singular) → is, You/We/They (plural) → are. Then add the -ing form of the main verb.
కర్తను బట్టి am/is/are ఎంచుకోవాలి. I తో am, He/She/It తో is, You/We/They తో are వాడాలి. తర్వాత క్రియకు -ing చేర్చాలి.

Negative Sentences | నకారాత్మక వాక్యాలు
Rule: Insert not between the auxiliary verb (am/is/are) and the -ing verb. Contractions: is not = isn’t, are not = aren’t. Note: am not has no standard short form (do NOT write “amn’t”).
నకారాత్మక వాక్యంలో am/is/are తర్వాత “not” చేర్చాలి. is not = isn’t, are not = aren’t అని కుదిస్తారు. “am not” కి సాధారణంగా short form వాడరు.

Rule: Move the auxiliary verb (am/is/are) to the beginning of the sentence, before the subject. For Wh- questions, place the Wh-word first, then am/is/are, then the subject and -ing verb.
ప్రశ్న వాక్యంలో am/is/are ని వాక్యం మొదటికి తీసుకువెళ్ళాలి. Wh- ప్రశ్నలలో Wh-పదం మొదట, తర్వాత is/are, తర్వాత కర్త మరియు -ing రూపం వస్తాయి.

Stative Verbs — Never use -ing! | స్తితి క్రియలు — -ing వాడకూడదు!
Important Rule: Some verbs describe a state (feelings, senses, possession, mental states) — these are called stative verbs. We NEVER use them in the -ing form, even if the action is happening right now.
