Think of it this way: “city” could refer to any city in the world — it is a common noun. But “Hyderabad” refers to one specific city — it is a proper noun. The moment you give something its own unique name, it becomes a proper noun.

The Golden Rule
✅ Proper nouns — ALWAYS start with a capital letter, no matter where they appear in the sentence.
✅ Common nouns — use capital letter ONLY at the beginning of a sentence.

Both “ravi” and “ongole” are proper nouns — they must be capitalised.

తెలుగు లిపిలో పెద్ద/చిన్న అక్షరాల తేడా లేదు కాబట్టి ఇది తెలుగు విద్యార్థులకు తరచూ తప్పు జరుగుతుంది. ఆంగ్లంలో ప్రతి ప్రత్యేక నామవాచకం తప్పనిసరిగా పెద్ద అక్షరంతో ప్రారంభం కావాలి.
