🇬🇧 What are Prepositions of Place?
A preposition of place is a word (or phrase) that tells us where a person, animal, or thing is located in relation to something else.
Common prepositions of place: in, on, at, under, above, below, behind, in front of, next to, between, beside, near, opposite, inside, outside.
They answer the question: “Where is it?” or “Where does he/she go?”

Prepositions of Place అంటే ఒక వ్యక్తి లేదా వస్తువు ఎక్కడ ఉందో చెప్పే చిన్న పదాలు.
తెలుగులో “పెట్టె లోపల”, “బల్ల మీద”, “చెట్టు క్రింద” అని అంటాం. ఆంగ్లంలో ఇవి in, on, under అనే prepositions ద్వారా చెప్తాం.
“ఎక్కడ ఉంది?” అని అడిగే ప్రశ్నకు సమాధానం preposition of place ద్వారా వస్తుంది!

Use “in” when something is inside a container, room, building, city, country, or geographical area. The thing is surrounded or enclosed.

ఒక వస్తువు లేదా వ్యక్తి ఏదైనా enclosed space లో (లోపల) ఉన్నప్పుడు “in” వాడాలి. పెట్టె లో, గది లో, నగరంలో, దేశంలో అని అర్థం.
Use “on” when something is touching and resting on a surface — a table, floor, wall, road, page, shelf, or any flat area. Also used for islands and named roads/streets.

ఒక వస్తువు surface ని తాకుతూ దాని మీద ఉన్నప్పుడు “on” వాడాలి. బల్ల మీద, గోడ మీద, నేల మీద, పేజీ మీద అని అర్థం.
Use “at” for a specific point, place, or event — when we think of the location as a dot or spot, not an area. Also used for home, work, school, bus stop, door, corner.

ఒక నిర్దిష్ట స్థానం గురించి మాట్లాడేటప్పుడు — స్కూల్ వద్ద, ఇంట్లో, బస్ స్టాప్ వద్ద — “at” వాడాలి. స్థానాన్ని ఒక చిన్న “dot” లాగా చూస్తాం.
under / below = lower than something.
under → directly beneath (touching or very close): under the tree
below → lower level (not necessarily touching): below sea level
above / over = higher than something.
over → directly above (or covering): a bridge over the river
above → higher but not directly above: above the clouds
under = నేరుగా క్రింద (తాకుతూ లేదా దగ్గరగా)
below = తక్కువ స్థాయిలో (తాకకుండా)
over = నేరుగా పైన (కవర్ చేస్తూ)
above = ఎత్తులో (నేరుగా పైన కాకపోవచ్చు)
between = two things (A and B)
among = more than two (a group)
beside / next to = at the side of
